The Vowles Visit The Tigers!

We got free tickets to the Detroit Tigers August 26th home game today from one of my patients. We were blessed with great seats, free parking, amazing weather and the Tigers actually won the game 5 to 4 (against the NY Yankees)...how much better can it get? Here is a few cool photos of our adventure. God is good!!!

The Great Lighthouse Project

This is a school project Jack had this year. He's in the 4th grade and had to make a replica of the Stannard Rock Lighthouse located in Marquette Michigan. He was allowed to work on it with his dad (me/Steve), it's success was a major part of his overall final grade. We made it from a Styrofoam block that was cut into a circle to form the base, a Purel water bottle for the lighthouse, newspaper and flour paper mache', toothpicks, some paint and a few other common household things. We were quite happy with the end results - he got an A+ (100%). I am totally proud!
